As a part of India’s largest uniformed youth organization, our National Cadet Corps unit empowers students through structured military training, leadership development, and community service. It provides a solid foundation for personal growth and national responsibility.

Vision and Mission

The vision of the NCC unit is to develop capable leaders who are physically fit, mentally alert, and socially responsible. Our mission is to instill values of discipline, unity, and selfless service among students. We strive to inspire cadets to contribute actively to nation-building, uphold ethical standards, and serve society with pride and commitment.

Core Objectives

The National Cadet Corps at Sri Lakshmi College aims to achieve several core objectives. These include promoting national integration, fostering leadership qualities, and encouraging students to adopt a service-minded approach to life. Through its comprehensive training programs, National Cadet Corps builds character and teamwork skills while providing exposure to defense services and public responsibility.

Training and Development

Cadets enrolled in National Cadet Corps undergo regular physical and theoretical training, including drill practice, weapon handling, map reading, and first-aid training. These sessions help in improving discipline, stamina, and coordination. The cadets also attend Annual Training Camps (ATC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), and other specialized camps that offer advanced military training and adventure experiences like trekking and mountaineering.

Social Activities and Events

Beyond physical training, National Cadet Corps cadets at our college participate actively in social welfare programs such as blood donation drives, anti-drug campaigns, tree plantations, and cleanliness drives under the Swachh Bharat mission. These initiatives allow students to engage meaningfully with their communities and develop empathy and a sense of civic duty.

Achievements and Recognition

Our NCC cadets have proudly represented Sri Lakshmi College at various state and national-level camps, showcasing excellence in leadership, discipline, and performance. Some of our distinguished alumni have successfully pursued careers in the Indian Armed Forces, paramilitary services, and civil services, serving as a source of inspiration for current cadets.
